Product Description
From the Author
A cartoon satire on law and lawyers
"Queen's Counsel" is a cartoon satire on the law which appears every week in the Law pages of The Times. This is a collection of the best strips from the newspaper plus lots of extra material created especially for the book. The strip itself is a collaboration between myself and Graham Francis Defries - I do the drawings and we both come up with ideas - and was born when we were both law students whiling away the hours in the law library over 5 years ago (We put our middle names on the strip as a disguise in case our future employers had a sense of humour failure). Since then I have escaped from the horrors of a career in law but Graham is still working undercover at a big firm of city solicitors. Which is a good thing, otherwise we would have run out of material years ago. Anyway, as for reviews, The Independent on Sunday very nicely called the strip "a hilariously accurate canard on m'learned friends...the perfect gift for the legal eagle in your life". I hope you agree. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
